"I believe the world is incomprehensibly beautiful — an endless prospect of magic and wonder."
Social Learning and Forest Exploration
Join us for our Friendly Forest program! The intention of this program is to build community and social skills while exploring outdoors. It is designed for children ages 4-8 who are on the autism spectrum. Class sizes are small, and children attend with an adult.
Do you have questions about the Friendly Forest program? Please connect with us. We are happy to invoice homelearning programs and other funding programs: please ask.
We offer many programs for children ages 4 to 8, and your child is welcome in those programs as well - check out our 2-8-year-old program page for more details and to register.
Belva has been working with children for over 18 years. She spent 12 years as a private nanny specializing in children under the age of five, and for the past 7 years, she's found her home in preschool settings. Belva has always held a deep belief that children should be in the great outdoors. They are calmer, happier and always find something interesting to investigate. Finding outdoor education was when Belva realized that she'd found her niche in teaching, and she loves guiding children to connect to nature. Belva received her Early Childhood Educator Certificate at VCC. She holds a Montessori Diploma from NAMC and has successfully completed Fresh Air Learning's Forest School Teacher Training.
Our program runs out of Princess Park in North Vancouver.
